Most skid plates nest a bracket on one side of the frame. AltRider uses four bolt locations across both frame rails. That means a stronger, more stable platform — and it works with both DCT and manual transmission models. The bracket stays on the bike during oil changes, so routine maintenance does not require pulling the plate.
The smooth flat bottom is a deliberate choice. Corrugated designs add strength but cost clearance. Here, the four-point frame mount provides the rigidity, and the smooth surface lets the plate slide over rocks and roots instead of catching on them. The center stand remains compatible with the plate installed.
All hardware is included. Fits standard models out of the box. Adventure Sports model requires removal of the OEM skid plate before installation.
