AltRider suspension lowering linkages give riders direct control over ride height with multiple adjustable positions. Seat height is a real barrier on adventure motorcycles. Tall bikes capable off-road can be hard to manage at low speed when you cannot put a foot down confidently.
The Variable Height Linkage allows both lowering and raising from stock, so height can be tuned to the terrain. The KTM and Husqvarna version includes an integrated UHMW linkage guard, the only one on the market. Products cover Honda, KTM, Husqvarna, GasGas, Yamaha Ténéré 700, and Aprilia Tuareg 660.
For the perfect lean angle, we recommend adding one of our fully adjustable aluminum replacement stands, available for Honda, KTM, Husqvarna, GasGas, Aprilia, Yamaha, and BMW models.

      FAQs

An AltRider lowering linkage replaces the stock rear linkage to drop your seat height by an adjustable amount. This helps riders flat-foot the bike and improves confidence on technical terrain. AltRider linkages are CNC machined from billet aluminum for strength. Unlike other options we provide a protectiion plate for your shock body in the design.

AltRider Variable Height Suspension Linkages give you four ride-height options on supported bikes. You can lower your seat by 12 mm (0.4 in) or 25 mm (1 in) for technical terrain, or raise it by 6 mm (0.24 in) or 19 mm (0.75 in) for aggressive riding. Check each product page for the full range of adjustablity and linkage protection.

A small drop, like 12 to 25 mm, has little effect on off-road performance for most riders. The trade-off is more confidence on rough or rutted ground because both feet can reach the floor. Most riders find the gain in control and never notice a differernce in ground strikes.

Yes. AltRider Variable Height Linkages include an integrated 6 mm UHMW link guard that protects the linkage from rocks and impacts. This is the only lowering linkage on the market with built-in protection of this type. Check each product page for the full range of adjustablity and linkage protection offered.

Yes, with the right tools. Installation requires lifting the rear wheel off the ground, removing the stock linkage, and torquing the new bolts to specification. Most home mechanics can do it in one to two hours. Always follow the included torque values.
