Appart of the estetics and more agressive look, mud packing between the fender and front wheel is a real problem on serious off-road terrain. It can jam the front end and stop your ride. This kit moves the fender to a high mount position, clearing that space and keeping you moving through deep mud and debris.

The kit is complete. The plastic fender comes pre-drilled and mounts to the steering column via a billet aluminum bracket and quill. The fork leg guards are AltRider's own design — laser cut for exact fitment at the OEM mount points, with provisions for correct ABS sensor coverage and brake hose routing built in. The braided stainless steel brake lines are custom built for the DesertX, DOT-approved, and ready to run. An optional spacer is included for riders running larger off-road tires.

The fender is available in red, black, or white. Note that the plastic fender and powder-coated aluminum fork guards are not a 100% color match. AltRider Fork Leg Decals are also available separately.

The DesertX fender is positioned low from the factory. Appart of the estetics and more agressive look, in serious off-road conditions, mud and debris pack between the fender and tire until the wheel jams. This kit solves that by moving the fender to a high mount position.

The billet aluminum bracket and quill attach to the steering column with an M10 bolt — solid and rattle-free. The fork leg guards are laser cut from 2 mm aluminum, mount at three points per side, and are designed specifically for the DesertX OEM mount points. They include correct coverage for the ABS sensor and built-in brake hose routing clips. No cutting or drilling required.

The braided stainless steel brake lines are custom built for this application — DOT-approved, UV-resistant PVC coated, and fitted with strain reliefs. All fittings and routing grommets are included.

If you run larger off-road tires, an optional spacer is included to add clearance at full compression. Fender and fork leg guards are available in red, black, or white. Note that the plastic fender and powder-coated aluminum guards are not a 100% color match.
