Installation requires no extra hardware and no fairing removal. Remove the three existing shroud bolts, set the guard in place, and reinstall. The guard geometry is matched exactly to the shroud profile, and the wide mounting tab distributes impact forces evenly rather than concentrating stress at a single point.
